| I do not use CCI to trade. I did
in 2001 or 2002 ? for about 6 months. At that time, a trader friend
asked me t stop in in room and take a look and then give him my evaluation
of the trading being done. So I set up a CCI chart along with my other
charts and referred to what CCI was doing as I traded my charts. The room
usually had 10-15 people in it. I don't remember if there was instruction
back then but very soon it began and the room grew to 100's then
multiple rooms of 1000+. Quite amazing how it grew.
A whole culture grew from those rooms.Over the years the style of CCI
trading has changed many times. Many of the room participants
contributed to the new modified or new CCI setups. I admire many of those
who added so much value to Woodies room. They continually researched how to improve ways
to trade with CCI. Many of these contributors left the room and
stared their own rooms. Eventually, the price bars were removed from the
charts. Only indicators were needed per Woodie.
I found the CCI useful when used in conjunction with other
trading concepts. Most of these other concepts are not used by Woodie. I never
tried to trade without price bars and would never encourage anyone to do so.
Yet I do acknowledge it might work for some.
I found enough in the original 3-4 setups to use in trading. The CCI
gave clear timely entries when combined with the other non-Woodie
concepts I use. I can't imagine trading without price bars 8-). NQoos |
