Dave Shedd is person that continually
contributes to the trading community. Dave created
daCharts.com
and co-administers
www.dacharts.com
and www.dacharts.org along with
Buffy. Together they have created a premier educational
emini futures trading site on the net.
Dave presently lurks mostly in the background
on Paltalk, but he is
not really lurking. He is responsible for many of the never ending tasks
required to keep dacharts working properly and planning dacharts future.
Dave is an accomplished trader and
prolific poster whom I first met when he
posted his work on his
Retro-Trader
method on dacharts. Retro-Trader was created as a 15/5 minute breakout
system for day trading the Nasdaq and S&P index futures. Today's
lessened volatility and daily range has resulted in this method better
adapted to perhaps a 9/3 minute breakout method. I personally still watch 15
minute bars for breakout entries when not already in a trade or as further
confirmation that the trade will continue. Back when I traded the NQ with
the great daily range and volatility I traded my adaptation of RetroTrader
and pocketed many points
, thanks Dave.
There is much to be learned visiting the RetroTrader links with excellent
explanations of continuation signal, retracement bar, 2B, inside bar, and
swing high as well as money management techniques for trailing stops.
Dave also created
a powerful resource for all traders. It allows us to input url links
which we have found useful so others can share them and also allows us to
review the urls we have visited. I encourage all to use dacharts for
traders links and contribute to the growing searchable database.
Dave is also co-moderator of the Yahoo
group
e-mini
Traders Anonymous, a great way to connect with fellow traders, ask
questions, share your ideas and methods and stay advised on announcements.
You will see Dave on
Paltalk wearing a hat in both NQ/ES Pals and es<Woodies CCI CLUB>nq.
He is one of the many room monitors that keep things following easily.
